About the Position: This position is located at William Beaumont Army Medical Center's Food and Production Services Section in El Paso, Texas.Requirements:

However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.
Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Cook ~ without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform common duties such as preparing cold food; using standard recipes and cooking techniques for following adjusted recipes; reading and understanding food labels, standard recipes, patient menus, computerized food production sheets, metric conversion tables, and work instructions. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

- Performs work requiring continuous standing and walking on hard surfaces, and is frequently stooping reaching, sending, pushing, and pulling. Frequently lifts or moves objects weighing less than 50 pounds.
- Works in kitchen, which is often uncomfortably warm and noisy. Exposed to fumes and odors from cooking. Exposed to temperature extremes when entering walk-in refrigerators/freezers from the warm kitchen. Exposed to the dangers of falling on wet floors, to burns caused by steam or hot foods, and to cuts caused by knives and electrical machines.
