Job Posting Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters Degree or University Degree or equivalent.
- Typically 2+ years relevant experience for entry to this level.
- Requires general proficiency with tools, systems and procedures to accomplish job.
The position is a great deal of Production Planning using SAP. They would be running reports to get demand signals based on forecast and customer orders, interpreting the demand and the need for Manufacturing to build. They would determine the batch size, material, scheduling, and releasing Process Orders for Manufacturing.
Job Posting Description
- Plans and coordinates end-to-end supply chain planning, including when goods should be produced and in what quantity, while optimizing the balance between customer delivery requirements and inventory levels.
- Interfaces with Marketing, Sales, Production, R&D, Finance, Materials, Logistics, Service Part Organization, Customer Service and contract manufacturers (CM) and original design manufacturers (ODM) to compile, develop, validate and communicate production/shipment plans and associated strategies that support overall business objectives.
- Uses enterprise resource planning (ERP) system(s) for processes such as inventory tracking, supplier scheduling, process and workflow management, etc
- Establishes and manages relationships with suppliers/partners.
- May be responsible for coordinating new product introduction (NPI), product transfer and new supply chain setup including assuring materials, labor and test capacity are in place to meet volume production.
- May have global or multi-site inventory management responsibilities.
- May partner with Sales and Marketing to develop factory support processes for indirect channels and worldwide customer escalations.
- Works on production planning assignments with broadly defined objectives
- Solves straight-forward issues, challenges and problems within field of specialization
