Organizational Location: These positions are located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR), in Farmers Branch, Texas.Requirements:
Specialized Experience:GS-12: Applicant must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-11 level in the Federal service that includes 3 or more of the following:
- Applying personnel security practices across multiple determination types (e.g. credentialing, fitness, suitability, and national security eligibility).
- Obtaining sufficient evidence to support personnel security determinations.
- Making recommendations and decisions related to credentialing, fitness, suitability, and/or national security eligibility.
- Relaying information related to adjudication and/or background investigations to junior staff.
Specialized Experience:
GS-13: Applicant must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-12 level in the Federal service that includes 3 or more of the following:
- Reviewing, evaluating and making determinations related to personnel security cases (e.g. credentialing, fitness, suitability, and/or national security eligibility).
- Providing guidance/advice on credentialing, fitness, suitability, and/or national security eligibility cases.
- Preparing written correspondence, reports, and/or briefings related to personnel security to a broad range of audiences.
- Developing and providing training to junior staff members and/or other personnel.
