Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Identifying the correct medical code for procedures that comply with regulatory requirements; interpreting provider documentation, operative reports, diagnostic results, or multidisciplinary notes to select correct coding; auditing patient records to ensure records are complete and accurate. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
