Food Service Worker

Description:

This position will be assigned to the Child Development Center located at JBSA Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX

This is a flexible category position with no guaranteed hrs., may work up to 40 hrs/wk. Scheduled as needed. This position is not eligible for benefits.

Must be physically able to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 40lbs. Must be able to continuously stand and walk, and frequently stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods of time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Must be able to use hand tools for cleaning and operate simple machines. Must have knowledge of sanitation standards in handling and serving food, and for cleaning equipment and work area.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA'S)
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills and abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

1. Ability to follow simple oral instructions.
2. Ability to use hand tools for cleaning and operate simple machines.
3. Must be skilled in doing tasks with several steps and must use judgement in sequencing tasks.
