A qualified candidate must possess the following:
Work experience directly related to the duties described above to include the following skill and knowledge requirements.
- Must have a good working knowledge of the operation and maintenance of irrigation systems.
- Must have knowledge of basic electricity and hydraulics related to an irrigation system and pumping stations.
- Must have knowledge of how various supply, disposal, and irrigation systems and equipment are installed and operate, and ability to make adjustments.
- Must have the ability to plan and lay out the installation and modification of various systems and equipment.
- Must have the ability to interpret and apply plans and blueprints, use shop mathematics, and lay out such things as angles, arcs, and circles.
- Must have skill in the use of the accepted trade methods and techniques necessary to perform assigned duties.
- Must have skill in the use of the tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned duties.
