The Aircraft Mechanic serves as a journeyman fixed wing airplane mechanic responsible for performing inspections, maintenance, repairs, and/or alterations on Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) fixed wing single and light multi-engine piston/turbine powered airplane fleet in the aircraft maintenance shop at Aircraft and Equipment Operations (AEO), Mission, Texas.Requirements:
Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement, including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.This position has a selective factor, as a minimum qualification requirement all candidates must have completed the required training and attained their Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Certificated Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic certificate.
To qualify, you must show that you have had training and experience of sufficient scope and quality to provide you with the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Your answers to the vacancy specific questions must be supported by the work experience in your resume. For example, if you respond in the affirmative when questioned whether you have experience repairing and maintaining piston engines, your resume must include this experience, mindful that experience may not be inferred by job title.
