The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a focal point responsible for orchestrating logistics readiness planning and implementation of unit realignments, bed-downs, deactivations, and future mission capabilities under the organizational construct.

This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices in a professional or administrative occupation, such as would be gained through extended graduate study or experience and skill in applying this knowledge to difficult and complex work assignments; or a comprehensive, intensive, practical knowledge of a technical field and skill in applying this knowledge to the development of new methods, approaches, or procedures. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs ): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of various types of support agreements, primarily Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs), Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), and base operations support Intra/Interservice Support Agreement
2. Knowledge of a broad range of logistics planning activities and associated processes and deliverables.
3. Knowledge of concepts and techniques related to support requirement identification, problem solving, and process improvement, and a general knowledge of contracting and financial management processes.
4. Skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to a broad range of functional areas.
5. Skill to develop innovative and feasible solutions to complex issues in which the boundaries are broad and difficult to determine in advance; ability to plan, organize projects, and negotiate effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations.
6. Ability to integrate and coordinate multiple and related missions, functions, subjects, issues, and situations across echelons to present and recommend solutions in a logical, cohesive format; and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE : Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE : Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
