Requirements:
Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the legally designated State accrediting agency at the timethe program was completed by the applicant. Must have active, current registration as a professional nurse (RN) in a State,
District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
In addition to the above, applicants must have at least one of the following:
1. One year of specialized experience equivalent in scope and complexity to the next lower grade level
2. Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education or a master's or equivalent degree in the field of nursing.
Highly-qualified candidates will have experience in pediatric nursing and/or working with children/youth with special needs.
In addition to the above, highly preferred candidates will also possess the following:
- Experience with epidemiology, transmission, and control of communicable diseases, particularly those impacting children and young people?
- Experience with Army Regulation 608-10 (Child and Youth Services) and its application to health and safety standards in military childcare settings.
- Experience with immunization schedules and public health guidelines relevant to youth populations and outbreak response protocols?
