These positions may be filled for a six month seasonal period, but can be vary due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: early/mid November 2025 - April 2026.



Requirements:

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:
  1. Ability To Lead or Supervise (SCREEN OUT)
  2. Ability to interpret instructions, specification, etc.
  3. Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
  4. Knowledge of equipment assembly, installation, repair, etc.
  5. Knowledge of materials
  6. Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic)
  7. Use of Measuring Instruments
If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration. To be found minimally qualified, your resume must show the following: experience working as a professional backcountry trail crew member (National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, etc.) performing basic trail maintenance including clearing trees and brush from the trail corridor with power saws, maintaining trail structures including drainage devices and erosion checks, and making minor repairs to backcountry campground structures or stock facilities.
