Description:

You will serve as a GG-1810-14 Investigator for the NAVAL INTELLIGENCE ACTIVITY in Suitland, MD. As the Naval Intelligence Activity Inspector General's Inspection Team Lead or Inspector/Investigator for inspections, assessments and investigations, you will direct and perform continuing program reviews, analysis and appraisal of Naval Intelligence programs.

Requirements:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GG/GS-13) or pay band in the Federal service. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

1. Direct inspection teams and perform complex inspections and assessments by assessing compliance with regulatory guidance, economic and effective use of resources, programmatic performance, functional risk, and internal controls.
2. Develop pre-inspection work plans that define scope of the inspection, identify relevant criteria, and provide the methodology for the evaluation.
3. Prepare comprehensive reports which detail the nature, timing, extent, and results of the inspection procedures performed, and conclusions reached.
4. Conduct roots cause analysis to develop recommendations to correct programmatic/systemic deficiencies, poor internal controls, program vulnerabilities, and inefficiencies that impact morale, resources, or mission accomplishment.
5. Identify, analyze, and evaluate applicable laws, guidance, policies, and procedures to determine relevance and significance to the issue under investigation.
