To qualify for the Second Offset Pressperson, you must meet the following requirements:Applicants must meet the following Screen-Out element, Job Element #1: Ability to do the work of a Second Offset Pressperson with normal supervision to be considered for this position. Your qualifications will first be evaluated against the prescribed screen out element, which usually appears as question 1 in the online questionnaire. If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT ELEMENT below is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration. The screen-out element for this position is:
- Assigning and managing workloads;
- Setting up, adjusting, operating, inspecting and maintaining multi-color offset sheet-fed presses (up to 7 units with split fountains) and screen-printing presses; and/or
- Printing passports and other security and quality work according to specifications.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
