This position is within the Construction & Facilities Support Branch at the Air Force NAF Procurement Office also known as AFNAFPO.This position will be assigned to the Air Force Service Center at Port San Antonio, TX.
This is a regular full-time category position with guaranteed 40 hrs. per week. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Demonstrated leadership experience as a contracting professional achieving program results across complex and diverse organizations, ensuring the office's mission and objectives are met. Previous contracting experience as a warranted contracting officer or progressively responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to perform at the Branch Chief level. Experience and mastery of contracting, commercial, and federal contracting and of public laws, regulations, and policies. Experience and mastery of commercial/industrial practices, competitive sourcing, performance-based procedures, and market conditions applicable to program and technical requirements. Experience and mastery of cost/price analysis techniques and/or post award procurement actions including contract claims and contract termination. Experience to challenge, manage, control, and evaluate contracting methods, practices and processes. Experience with fostering collaboration and creating a climate of trust within the organization. Experience to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources. Experience to lead, plan, organize, mentor, direct the functions, and appraise staff.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
- Non Appropriated Funds contracting experience.
- Bachelor's degree and 24 semester hours in business management course, CPCM, DAWIA II/III in contracting or other applicable professional certification and experience in the contracting field.
- Expert in various types of contracts, methods of contracting, and source selection factors lo plan appropriate strategies to contract complex requirements and conduct negotiations both pre-award and post-award.
- Experience with the agency's EEO, security, health and safety programs.
- Held an Unlimited Contracting Officer Warrant.
- Managed construction contracts "cradle-to-grave," encompassing all phases from initial planning to final closeout.
- Possess supervisory experience.
- Possess a high level construction contracting or construction project management experience.
