Description:

This is a NAF position with the 17th Force Support Squadron, located at The Angelo Inn on Goodfellow AFB, San Angelo, Texas.

This position is considered Regular Part-Time (RPT). You are guaranteed 20 hours, but has the potential to work up to 40 hours/week. You may be required to work nights, weekends and holidays. As a RPT employee, you are eligible to earn annual/sick leave and sign up for benefits, to include Health/Dental and Life Insurance, 401k and NAF Retirement.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have manual skill and knowledge to operate simple power equipment, such as powered push lawnmowers, leaf blowers, weed trimmers and low-pressure sprayer. Knowledge of basic hand tools such as hand-saws, hatchets, clippers. Must be able to read and follow simple signs and specific written and/oral instructions involving duties with several distinct tasks or steps. Physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds and be able to occasionally list and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Bake to actively bend, stoop, stand, reach, and work in awkward positions. Must be able to satisfactorily complete and pre-employment physicals. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier-1 background investigation.
