Description:

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INTERDISCIPLINARY PHYSICAL SCIENTIST/ OCEANOGRAPHER in the Unmanned Systems Division, Oceanographic Department, Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO) of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS.

Requirements:

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Experience performing high-level review of performance plans, employee ratings and recognition and resolving employee disputes, disciplinary actions, and counseling on work and administrative matters.
  • Experience utilizing unmanned underwater vehicles to accomplish the Departments Ocean sensing missions in support of naval operations and providing remote command and control services.
  • Experience coordinating with EEO officials during the development and execution of policies affecting civilian personnel.
  • Experience reviewing the process and transmission of collected data, and the preparation and production of interpretative reports and publications.
  • Experience directing the acquisitions, planning, and multi-mission operations of unmanned underwater vehicles for the purpose of acquiring measurements of relevant oceanographic characteristics.
