Requirements:

You must meet the following time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements by the closing date of the announcement:

Time in grade: You must have completed one year at the GS-09 grade to be eligible for the GS-10 grade.

Specialized experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade or its equivalent in the federal service that demonstrates:
  • Experience that provided knowledge of the properties and characteristics of inspection activities of ingestible items, working with Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) principles and practices.
  • Skill in applying proper techniques for collecting samples, performing field tests and examinations, and experience in reaching and interpreting conclusions.
  • Experience developing written reports and communicating findings.
  • Experience maintaining personal contacts with internal and external stakeholders.
