Description:
You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY ELECTRONICS/ MECHANICAL ENGINEER in the Sensors Branch, OceanProducts Division, Ocean Projects Department of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS.
Requirements:
GS-13 In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:- Experience applying professional knowledge of electronic engineering principles and practices applicable to the full range of engineering duties concerned with the selection, design, test, and evaluation of oceanographic/hydrographic instrumentation and equipment.
- Experience performing a wide range of engineering test and evaluation of complex oceanographic and hydrographic systems.
- Experience with oceanographic sensor deployments and recoveries from surface vessels and applications in the marine environment.
- Experience communication both orally and in writing to address and resolve various technical issues, brief individuals internal and external to the organization.
- Experience coordinating project plans and activities with supporting interdisciplinary organizations as necessary.
- Experience preparing and submitting realistic and attainable budgetary estimates.
