This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to JBSA Randolph Outdoor Recreation. This is a flexible position with guaranteed 00 hrs./wk. You may be scheduled up to 40 hours per week. Employees appointed to a flexible category position are not eligible for benefits.This position will have a weekly cutoff day and applications will be reviewed for consideration. The weekly cutoff day is every Wednesday beginning 7 May 2025.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Much of the time is spent sitting, standing, or walking; however, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling, or reaching is required. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. This position requires a pre-employment screening for swimming ability, rescue skills, and CPR skills.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):
Must possess a current and valid Nationally recognized Lifeguard Certification covering lifesaving and water rescue methods, skills, and procedures.
Must possess a current and valid Nationally recognized Water Safety Instructor Certification.
Must possess a current and valid Nationally recognized Basic First Aid Certification.
Must possess a current and valid Nationally recognized CPR certification which includes adult, child, and infant procedures.
Must be able to lift and carry 45 pounds and over.
