Description:
This position will be assigned to the Air Force Services Center at Port San Antonio, TX.This is a regular full-time category position with guaranteed 40 hrs. per week. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Experience with double-entry accounting procedures, methods and techniques used in maintaining and analyzing all classes of general ledger accounts in an automated accounting system that encompasses a number of diversified activities. Experience with accounting systems sufficient to trace discrepancies from initiation of the business transaction through expenditure of funds
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
- Knowledge and understanding of regulations, guides, and precedents sufficient to interpret and apply them in a variety of accounting situations.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel using basic formulas of adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word is a plus.
