This position is with CYS Middle School/Teen Programs at Fort Greely, Alaska. Position is Mission and Weather Essential.Incumbent is entitled to 3.00 % Cost of Living Allowance (COLA).

Requirements:
May be eligible for up to $2000 recruitment incentive ($1000 at 6-month completion of successful service, plus another $1000.00 at 1-year anniversary of successful service. Service agreement and satisfactory performance required).As an added employee incentive, the Department of Defense (DoD) granted approval to extend temporary limited commissary privileges (excluding the purchase of tobacco or alcohol products) to CYS employees. This temporary approval expires 31 December 2025.
(QUAL 1) Successful completion of a bachelor's degree or higher that included or was supplemented by major study (at least 24 semester hours) in the fields appropriate to the position consistent with: Education must have been directly related to the position to be filled ( general psychology/sociology courses are not qualifying) .
-For positions in Youth Facilities: The education must have been in youth development, youth administration, education, home economics, physical education, elementary education, special education or other fields appropriate to the position to be filled such as directly related behavioral science.
OR
(QUAL 2) A combination of education and experience - courses equivalent to a major in a subject matter field (24 semester hours) appropriate to the position (see above), plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the four-year course of study described above.
In addition to meeting one of the requirements above (QUAL 1 or QUAL 2), candidate must also possess all of the following:
1. Experience supervising or leading caregivers within child/youth facility-based programs.
2. Experience managing a classroom setting within child and youth programs.
3. Experience implementing and overseeing a structured child and youth program curriculum.
4. Demonstrated verbal communication skills gained through conducting training, delivering presentations, conducting meetings with parents and/or staff, or similar.
