Description:
Position is with CYS Outreach Services at Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico. Hours of Operation 0700-1700.Incumbent is entitled to 2.49 % Cost of Living Allowance (COLA).

Requirements:
Successful completion of a 4 year college or university degree with a major course of study/substantial course work which directly relates to a CYS field: early childhood / elementary / secondary / special education, child / youth development, psychology, youth
program administration or a closely related field such as social work, home economics, physical education or related behavioral sciences.
OR
A combination of education and experience--courses equivalent to a major in a subject matter field (24 semester hours) appropriate to the position (see above), plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described above.
In addition, all candidates must possess:
1. Minimum twenty-four (24) months work experience in a child/youth or a public school child/youth program.
2. Program administration experience in child and youth programs.
3. The ability to plan and organize work, analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data and recognize solutions.
4. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in English.
5. The physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, walk, bend, stoop and stand on a routine basis.
Highly Preferred applicants will submit resumes that reflect ALL of the following and may be sent first for consideration:
- 1 year of experience in public speaking to large and small groups.
- 1 year of experience developing and leading conferences, briefings, and trainings for youths and adults.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
- 1 year of experience developing and sustaining partnerships between the military community and school administrators.
- Organizational skills, reliability, and ability to self-manage.
