Description:

The ideal candidate will have experience supervising staff and developing, maintaining, and monitoring integrated reporting systems affecting programs with interrelated functions and operations. They should be proficient in communicating recommendations and proposals to leadership orally and in writing with clarity, tact, and diplomacy; and have experience evaluating the impact of new program policies and procedures on current systems and technology and determining measures of effectiveness.

To qualify for this Supervisory Emergency Management Specialist position at the IC-13 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:

  1. Managing a team to include planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the work of subordinates.
  2. Analyzing or evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations.
  3. Developing improvement solutions and presenting recommendations to leadership.
