Organizational Location: This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Office of The Principal Legal Advisor, in Irving, Texas .

This is a non-bargaining unit position.

You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess one of the following:

Experience: One (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as:

• Assisting in implementing, coordinating, and overseeing a variety of management programs;
• Assisting in the development, implementation and monitoring of management information systems that focus on the program goals; and
• Recommending policies, issuances and directives, to include oversight and coordination of identification, analysis and issuance of policies with managers and officials of the agency.

National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
